Welcome

The information on this site is intended to inform you about the quality of home care services in fourteen regions of the province. Community Care Access Centres (CCACs) coordinate care and services for people of all ages such as seniors, those with disabilities and people who need help to live independently at home. Each CCAC covers one of the 14 Ontario regions. The main purpose of making this information public is to advance the quality of care and services provided to home care clients. To find out more about CCACs and home care services, read the fact sheet and see our FAQs.

Search information by Individual CCACs or by comparing CCACs. To find your CCAC, click here.

When searching for information, keep in mind we are only able to report on long-stay clients at this time. Most of the data reported on this site comes from a new data collection tool, the RAI-HC (Resident Assessment Instrument – Home Care). This standardized tool is now used in all CCACs but only for long-stay clients. Forty six percent of people who receive home care services are long-stay clients of all ages with chronic conditions or complex medical needs who require care over a long period of time; fifty four percent are short-stay clients, who need services for a short time while they recover from surgery or an injury. In the future, this site will include other types of home care clients and a wider spectrum of measures. For more information, see About the Site.
